Flying Tiger Copenhagen began at a flea market in Denmark, where founder Lennart Lajboschitz and his wife Suz sold umbrellas.
In 1988, they opened their first store, Zebra, in Copenhagen, offering a mix of umbrellas, sunglasses, socks, and surplus goods.
In 1995, they launched the first Tiger store, where everything was priced at 10 Danish kroner – a playful nod to the Danish word for tiger.
Today, we’re a diverse global brand with 1,000+ stores, including our 1000th, which opened in Australia in December 2024!
